Obituary for Georgia Nell Holley

Graveside service for Georgia Holley, 71, of Elgin will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 20, 2017 at the Ft. Sill National Cemetery under the direction of the Fletcher Funeral Home.

Mrs. Holley passed away on Wednesday, October 18, 2017 in Elgin, OK at the age of 71.

Georgia Nell (Sandlin) Holley was born January 2, 1946 in Holdenville, Oklahoma to Edwin and Norma Jean (Montgomery) Sandlin. She graduated from Wapato High School in Washington in 1963. She served her country in the United States Army. She married Roy Williams and the two were blessed with two children. She worked as a civil servant on Ft. Sill while raising her family in Elgin. She was a member of the Elgin First Baptist Church. In 1990, Georgia married Jack Kenneth Holley. They were married for 15 years when he passed away in 2005. Georgia enjoyed reading and embroidering but she loved being with her family the most.

She is survived by her mother, Jean Benzel, of Washington; 2 sons: Roy B. Williams and Natalie Martus and Kevin W. Holley, all of Texas; 2 daughters: Darla J. Spivey and her husband Keith, of Bray Doyle and Kelly Miles and her husband Mike, of Alabama; 2 brothers: Victor Benzel and Gary Benzel and his wife Tori, all of Washington; 1 sister, Teresa James and her husband Jack, of Washington; and 5 grandchildren: Ashley N. Williams, Truman R. Miles, Ira Weston Spivey, Zachary L. Miles, and Tristen A. Spivey.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Kenneth Holley; her stepdad, Victor Benzel; and 1 brother,
