Obituary for Jeffery Reed Beck

A remembrance of life will be held for Jeff Reed Beck, on Monday, October 9, 2017 at 1:30 p.m. by the Family Life Church in Cyril, Oklahoma. It will be a down home, country gathering for friends and family to take the microphone and share fond memories.

Jeff passed away from a heart attack while deer hunting on Sunday, October 1, 2017.

Jeff was born July 24, 1960 to Wilbur and Joyce Beck in Melborne, Florida. He came to Fletcher, Oklahoma in 1987. He married Velvet Butler on August 24, 1990 and became a dad to two boys, Gary and Evan. Jeff was a hard worker and during his life he worked offshore oilrigs, long haul truck driving, Dolese’s in Cyril, and was currently a contractor at Ft. Sill. Jeff was a free spirit, he loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and camping out. He loved his family and working on the farm.

Jeff is survived by his wife, Velvet Butler; 2 sons: Gary Beck and his wife Brenda and Evan Beck; 4 brothers: Greg, Cameron, Justin, and Jarrod Beck; 1 sister, Jerri; 5 grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents: Wilbur and Joyce; 1 brother; and 1 sister.

Jeff was a blue jeans and t-shirt guy and would not expect anyone to show up any differently. Jeff lived his life full of jokes, laughter, and fun and would not want mournful tears and sadness, but to have happiness and laughter in the memories made.
