Obituary for Sylvia Sue Ellis

Graveside service for Sylvia “Sue” Ellis, 79, of Fletcher, Oklahoma, will be held 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 1, 2017 at the Fletcher Cemetery with Jim Hall, officiating. Arrangements will be under the direction of the Fletcher Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Thursday from 12:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Ellis passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at her home in Fletcher, OK at the age of 79.

Sylvia “Sue” Ellis was born July 26, 1938 in Cement, Oklahoma to Lee Wayne and Helen May (McClain) Williams. She grew up in the Cement area where she attended high school through the 12th grade. She married Walter L. Ellis on October 8, 1965. The two were married for 39 years before Walter went on to be with the Lord. She and Walter resided in Fletcher Throughout their life together. Sue enjoyed working crossword puzzles and keeping up with area news by reading the local newspapers, while carrying out her life as a housewife.

She is survived by her 4 children: David Wayne, Gary Lee, Richard Dale, and Karen Sue Ellis, all of Fletcher; 3 sisters: Virginia Lee Morris, of Cement, Martha “Louise” Kerr, of Fletcher, Linda Diane Birden, of Bartlesville; and 1 brother, Eddie Wayne Williams, of Cement.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Ellis; her parents: Lee W. and Helen M. Ellis; and 1 sister, Alice M. Oswalt.
