Obituary for Waltraud Krusinsky

A memorial service for Waltraud Krusinsky, 75, of Elgin, Oklahoma will be held 10:30 a.m., Friday, February 23, 2018, at Paradise Valley Baptist Church, Lawton, Oklahoma with Reverend Donny Crittendon, officiating. Arrangements are being handled by the Fletcher Funeral Home.

Ms. Krusinsky passed away Wednesday, February 14, 2018, surrounded by family after a three year battle with cancer.

Waltraud (Trudy) Mastalerz Krusinsky was born August 11, 1942, to Franz and Anna (Manz) Mastalerz. Trudy’s parents were of Romanian descent. They left Romania for Germany and became German citizens. The family then relocated to Poland where Trudy was born, during German Occupation during World War II. Two years later, her family was relocated to a refugee camp near Stuttgart, Germany as a result of the advancing Soviet Army. Her family lived in a “tent city” at this refugee camp for little over two years. In 1947, they settled in the town of Grossdeinbach, Germany. Trudy met, a United States serviceman, Anton Krusinsky, Jr while he was stationed in Germany. On January 28, 1966 they got married. A couple of years later they settled near Elgin, Oklahoma. Trudy was a homemaker who also cared for children in her home.

She is survived by her five children: Peter Krusinsky and his wife Sharon, of Plano, Texas; Billy Krusinsky of San Antonio, Texas; Christine Bell and her husband Ty of Norman, Oklahoma; Betty Ann Krusinsky of Yukon, Oklahoma and Timmy Krusinsky and his wife Larissa of Lawton, Oklahoma; Seven Grandchildren: Caitlyn Krusinsky, Justin Krusinsky, Alyssa Krusinsky, Aaron Bell, Lauren Bell, Shalina Julian and Donovan Krusinsky; One Great Grandchild and many nephews and nieces.

She was predeceased in death by her husband Anton Krusinsky; her parents Franz and Anna Mastalerz; four brothers: Josef Mastalerz, Eduard Mastalerz, Rudiger Mastalerz and Siegfried Mastalerz; three sisters: Irma Pittner, Elfriede Horn and Laura Mastalerz: and two grandchildren: Amber Krusinsky and Jaedyn Krusinsky.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society or Paradise Valley Baptist Church.
